The Premise is Simple

Getting Started is Easy

Getting Started is Easy.

We’ll ask you some questions about your business – where you are located (do you have multiple locations?), what kinds of fuel you sell, and your business hours of operations. It’s important for us to know where you are and when you are open for business so that we can more thoughtfully connect you with potential customers.

Tell us how much you charge for deliveries

and how far you are willing to travel to make a fuel drop. This is a biggie for many businesses as job sites that are further away can eat into your margins quickly. There are very real costs associated with delivery and we want to make sure we understand what this means to you.

Other Fees

Tell Us About Any Other Fees You Charge

so we make sure prospective buyers understand fully what they are signing up for. This is important. A critical part of providing a great customer experience is complete transparency around what fees: What fees are included, how much are they, and a commitment that “new” fees will not show up on an invoice down the road. We believe the best approach here is to simply be up front and clear. No surprises = happy customers.

Matching Buyers and Suppliers

Matching with companies

As companies submit fuel requests we will look to see which suppliers are a good “match” and we’ll make the connection real-time. Once you accept the request, the deal is yours! The first supplier who accepts the request gets the business.

That’s It!

When you accept a fuel request, an order is created and you will work directly with the buyer to ensure the order is fulfilled on-time. We are not a lead gen platform and we do not charge you a fee for making the connection (we hate that stuff). If your business is a match, you will have a shot to win the business. Plain and simple.

We leverage proprietary technology to speed up the invoicing process. When a delivery is made, we capture the fuel quantity (what was actually dropped), and an invoice is generated and delivered to your customer within seconds – your driver is usually not even back in the truck by the time they have the invoice.

Remember…

We have everything needed to make this happen – the PPG (whatever you have agreed to with the customer, whether a flat PPG or the terminal/rack average on that day), the quantity delivered, all delivery and other fees, and any sales or excise taxes that have already been agreed to. What’s left to figure out – and why get paid faster?

How Do We Match Suppliers and Buyers?

It’s actually pretty simple. We have thousands of potential supplier matches nationwide – but we only create a list of “eligible” supplier shortlist based on the requirements you specified when creating your fuel request. For example, if you tell us you are only willing to pay up to $100 per delivery, where is the value in matching your request with suppliers who charge a minimum of $150? We don’t see any.

We are not a lead gen site, we do not charge a fee for a supplier to be “matched” with a potential buyer, and we don’t believe that cluttering up your inbox is helpful in the slightest. So we avoid doing so.

Site Fuel Benefits to Your Business

Questionmarks

At the end of the day, we know people might be asking: “What’s in it for me – how does my business benefit?” Fair question. Others might be wondering: “There is currently no fuel exchange, network, or marketplace like Site Fuel anywhere so how do I really figure out if I need it?” Rightly so.

New Sales Channel

One of the challenges buyers face is finding good, reliable suppliers in areas where they have projects. We hear this story every single day: “We have a project and don’t know any suppliers in the area; can you help?” Absolutely. This is part of what we do. And what it means for you is a new sales channel; if you are on the exchange and eligible for a match we will connect you with the buyer free of charge. You pay us nada. Nothing.

Sometimes we see this dynamic create real opportunity for fuel suppliers as they get pulled into larger projects that never would have crossed their desks otherwise. Many of these companies use specific vendor lists and the folks managing the job have no idea who they should look to locally to help out. And some of these jobs are very big. We love this part of the exchange!

Real Business vs. Just Quoting

It’s just part of doing business. A call comes in from a potential customer looking for fuel. Needs a specific quantity, for a location, and needs the pricing fast. You jump through hoops and after you get it to him – crickets. Turns out he was just looking for a quote. Maybe he was bidding on a job and will call back when he wins it; Or perhaps he is just shopping around?

Either way, we’ve come up with a better way to manage this. Site Fuel allows you to create offers that are available in the market – you get to tell the entire exchange (or specific customers) what you are selling, the price per gallon, your delivery fee and any other fees you will charge. We have everything we need to provide a quote without cluttering up your inbox. The buyer tells us he is just looking for a quote, tells us what he is looking for, and – presto! – we provide the quote instantly; he can always come back and convert that quote into an order. And you will see all of this from your dashboard.

Get Paid Faster

One of the most popular features of the exchange is how we manage the invoicing process. Your driver will use our mobile app designed just for fuel drops. All we need is the amount of fuel dropped and we are good to go – remember: We already have everything needed to calculate the invoice value so why wait?

The invoice is delivered to your customer within seconds, usually before your driver is back in the truck getting ready for the next drop. And while your customer loves (loves) the speed and accuracy this process creates, it also does something pretty nice for you too: You get paid faster. Once the invoice is delivered the clock starts and any net payment terms are in effect. We thought you might like that ☺
